Zolana Weddings grew out of my own experience as a bride. Planning my wedding was full of joy and anticipation, but also frustration. I struggled to find professionals who understood what I was trying to create: a celebration that honored both my Congolese heritage and my new life in America.
I'm originally from Congo, Central Africa, where weddings aren't just parties. They're sacred, intentional, steeped in ritual. Every detail carries meaning. After my engagement, I quickly realized how difficult it would be to find vendors who could grasp those cultural layers, who knew why certain traditions mattered, and how to weave them into the day.
Zolana Weddings was born from a deeply personal experience.

When I planned my own multicultural wedding in America, I realized how isolating it felt to search for professionals who truly understood the cultural significance behind what we were creating — not just the aesthetics, but the why behind every tradition.
I wanted vendors who saw our celebration as sacred, not just decorative. Who understood that certain moments couldn't be rushed, that specific dishes weren't optional, and that respect for our families wasn't a detail — it was everything.
That experience shaped everything about how I built Zolana Weddings: as a space where couples blending cultures, navigating family expectations, and honoring their heritage never have to explain why their traditions matter.

Over the past 7 years, we've specialized in multicultural weddings across Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and Ohio — from Nigerian + American and American + Indian fusions to Jewish + Latino celebrations, Mexican + Lebanese, Asian + Caribbean, and many more.
We work with a limited number of couples each year because multicultural weddings require deep cultural research, thoughtful family coordination, and vendor education that can't be rushed. Every celebration we plan receives personalized attention — from understanding the nuances of your traditions to ensuring both families feel seen, honored, and celebrated throughout the entire process.

Grace started Zolana Weddings because she knows firsthand how hard it can be to plan a wedding that honors who you are, especially when your traditions don't fit the standard American wedding template. Her approach is professional without being stiff, organized without being rigid.
She works with couples who want their wedding to reflect something real: their culture, their values, the way they actually want to celebrate. That might mean blending multiple traditions, rethinking the typical timeline, or designing something that doesn't look like anything else.
When she's not working, Grace is with her husband and two kids, cooking, or finding quiet time outside. That same calm, grounded presence shows up in how she plans: practical, warm, and fully present with each couple.
