Lead Planner and Designer
Zolana Weddings grew out of my own experience as a bride. Planning my wedding was full of joy and anticipation, but also frustration. I struggled to find professionals who understood what I was trying to create: a celebration that honored both my Congolese heritage and my new life in America.
I'm originally from Congo, Central Africa, where weddings aren't just parties. They're sacred, intentional, steeped in ritual. Every detail carries meaning. When I got engaged here, I quickly realized how difficult it would be to find vendors who could grasp those cultural layers, who knew why certain traditions mattered, and how to weave them into the day.
So I planned my own wedding. And somewhere in that process, an idea took shape: What if there was a planning company that actually got it? One where couples from different backgrounds, different traditions, different stories, didn't have to explain themselves or compromise what felt important?
That's why I started Zolana Weddings. To create that space.

Grace started Zolana Weddings because she knows firsthand how hard it can be to plan a wedding that honors who you are, especially when your traditions don't fit the standard American wedding template. Her approach is professional without being stiff, organized without being rigid.
She works with couples who want their wedding to reflect something real: their culture, their values, the way they actually want to celebrate. That might mean blending multiple traditions, rethinking the typical timeline, or designing something that doesn't look like anything else.
When she's not working, Grace is with her husband and two kids, cooking, or finding quiet time outside. That same calm, grounded presence shows up in how she plans: practical, warm, and fully present with each couple.
